Aside from hockey, there’s a lot buzz and excitement in the community around HTML5. I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the events that will be hitting your calendars shortly.

Celebrate the summer solstice with the web developer community at the HTML5 Summer DevFest on Tuesday, June 21st at the Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver. This event will feature a full day of presentations from some of the top web developers in Canada. We’ll also have a secondary room for hacking, developing, and lightning talks. Finally, we’ll wrap up the night with an evening event to celebrate the longest day of the year. Tickets are only $20 but availability is very limited so make sure to register today!
Winnipeg web developers: Register today for the HTML5 Boot Camp Extravaganza on June 24th! This is your opportunity to hear and see the latest in modern web standards from the rocking developers at Imaginet. At this event, you’ll learn about how HTML5 and standards like CSS3, ECMAScript 5, WOFF and others will enable you to build rich and interoperable user experiences for the web.
Finally, you should expect more HTML5 events to take place both online and across Canada in the near future. Our team is working hard with members of your developer community to bring these events to you. Stay tuned to the Canadian Developer Connection for more news and information about these upcoming events!
